Active Safety for Autonomous and SemiAutonomous Vehicles

Goals

The project aims to develop sensing and planning algorithms for autonomous driving tasks. Ultimately, the goal is to design autonomous vehicles capable of safe high-speed driving and competitive racing by leveraging human-like and anticipatory driving strategies.

Issues Involved or Addressed

Develop autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles that drive safely and aggressively under a wide variety of environmental conditions. Understanding and mimicking human driver behavior. Real-time perception, decisionmaking, and control at short time scales and with limited resources for robotic vehicles.
