Directions & Parking Information

The 2024 VIP Consortium will be held at Clough Commons (Building 166) at Georgia Tech.  Guests will be staying at the GT Hotel.
Here are some directions to the main buildings along with parking information.

<ATLANTA AIRPORT to GEORGIA TECH>

Unfortunately this year, the MARTA Airport Station is closed.  Here are some alternatives that we are aware of at this point, and we will update this page with more details as we can.

OPTION 1: Airport Bus > MARTA > Stinger Shuttle

  1. Take the airport bus that goes to the College Park Marta station.
  2. From there, take MARTA LINE to Midtown Station.
  3. As you exit the Midtown Station, you can take the Stinger Shuttle which brings you to GT Hotel, and further down closer to Clough Commons where the Consortium is hosted.

OPTION 2: Lyft / Uber / Taxi

<CONSORTIUM SITE: CLOUGH COMMONS>
The VIP Consortium 2024 registration and main events will be held at the first floor (lower ground level) of the Clough Commons (or CULC for Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons, or Building 166) at Georgia Tech.  Snacks (May 7,8,9), Breakfast (May 8,9), Lunch (May 8,9) will be served at this location.

<GT HOTEL & PARKING>
Overnight guest will be staying at the GT Hotel which is 10 min walk from Clough Commons. (Walking Map)
GT Hotel guests/participants who are driving in can request to have parking fee covered during the event with prior arrangments.  Please send vip@gatech.edu an email notifying the days you wish to have parking coverge along with your GT Hotel reservation number.  More VIP guidelines for the hotel coverage can be found here from this link.  More information on the GT Hotel can be found from their website here.  *Please note, the restaurant at the GT Hotel, room service etc is considered incidental expense that is not reimbursable, and your card on file will be charged.

<VISITOR PARKING AT THE STUDENT CENTER>
Daily parking is available for Consortium participants at the Student Center Parking Deck. The parking fee will be covered during the event.
> As you enter the garage, a paper ticket will be issued.
> Once at the event, please find a VIP staff.  You will be provided with a validation sticker upon request.  
> Apply the sticker to the paper ticket to exit the Student Center Garage free of charge (within 24 hours.)

<DRIVING DIRECTIONS to the STUDENT CENTER PARKING DECK>

Directions From I-75/85 South
- Take Exit 249D for North Ave.
- Make the right onto North Ave.

Directions From I-75/85 North
- Take Exit 249D for Spring St.
- Stay straight onto Linden Ave.
- Make the left onto W Peachtree St. NW
- Make the left onto North Ave.
- Then Take North Avenue westbound
- Turn right onto Tech Pkwy NW
- Turn right onto Regents Dr.
- Turn right onto Ferst Dr.
- Turn left into the W02 Student Center Parking Deck

 

<WALKING DIRECTIOS FROM THE STUDENT CENTER GARAGE (W02) TO CLOUGH COMMONS (166)>
The Consortium meets in Clough Commons – 166 (Red ”D” below.) From the Student Center Garage (Red circle) you can walk straight through the Student Center (104 on red dotted line.). Further down the path, Clough Commons (166) will be the first tall building on your left past the Tech Green (358.) As you enter the building and come down the staircase, you will find us on the first floor.

<GEORGIA TECH STINGER SHUTTLE - FOR FUN & TO EXPLORE>
Georgia Tech's campus bus system is called the Stinger Shuttle, and is open to students, employees, and the public.  It is a fun way to ride around the campus, as well as get to the Midtown MARTA Station.  More details can be found from the following sites.
